The annual FREE Easter Egg Hunt will be on April 8, 2023. The Easter Bunny will be hopping in to say “Hello” so parents and grandparents make sure you bring your phone/camera to capture the moment. Eggs will be provided, but children will need their own basket or bag to gather!
On April 16, 2022, the Van Wert County Human Society Shelter will be hosting a dog bone hunt & walk at the Rotary Dog Park. The bone hunt will start at 11am with two different areas (large dogs/small dogs), this event is free for all who wish to join. Following the bone hunt is a fundraising walk at noon. The cost for the walk is $30. When you register for the walk you will receive a shirt, donuts & coffee, dog treats, and a photo opportunity. The 4th of July Firework display is provided by the Van Wert County Foundation, The City of Van Wert & Local Donors. We greatly appreciate their support! The location of the show is at Van Wert High School, 10708 St Rt 118 S. (Reminder, We ask that you DO NOT BRING IN ANY fireworks or sparklers onto school grounds for the safety of everyone!)
