The Van Wert Parks Department is happy announce a partnership with Crestview Youth Football & Delphos Youth Football. The goal is to create a league that can bring local communities together to form a joint league while also teaching the fundamentals of football.
Lower Division: K-2nd Grade or 5-7 yrs old
Upper Division: 3rd & 4th Grade or 8-10 yrs old
Game Locations: Smiley Park, Delphos, Convoy
Ohio’s Return-To-Play law for young athletes was formed to ensure the safety of young athletes. To increase awareness and education and make sure athletes are safely guided back to play after suffering a concussion. With this new law all coaches and officials of youth athletes of the Van Wert Parks Department and any youth sports programs utilizing park facilities are required to go through an online concussion training. Coaches and Officials must have their certificate of completion on file in the Park Office prior to the season.

The Parks Department is always looking for coaches that are willing to teach the kids the fundamental skills of the game and good sportsmanship.
