Tournament Details
The Van Wert Parks & Recreation is pleased to offer TWO separate fishing tournaments for 2023. Our first tournament will be a Catfish Tournament on May 20, 2023, while the second tournament will be a Bass & Panfish Tournament on June 10, 2023. Both of these events are open to both boats & bank shore fishermen. Boats will be permitted only on Reservoir #2 (southern reservoir) while backshore fishermen will be permitted on either Reservoir #1 or #2. All boats are ONLY permitted to use a trolling motor and must be an Ohio registered watercraft following all boating regulations. No gas- or diesel-powered motors are permitted on city reservoirs. A max of two fishermen is permitted on a boat while bank fishing is limited to one fisherman. Boats and bank fishermen can enter in each category of fish on June 10th.
