Little Sluggers: A six-week instructional program for children ages 3 & 4. Registration is required and runs from mid - June to late July.
T-Ball: Youth 5 & 6 years of age. Learn the fundamentals of the game. Hit mainly off a T with some pitching. No tryouts! Click on T-Ball Link for registration form. Registration Linksc T-Ball
Minor League Baseball: A fundamental, skill-learning program for
youths ages 7 & 8. A coach pitch league. No tryouts are held for this

Van Wert Youth Baseball Association: Active May through July. Leagues are broken down into three divisions; Junior League, 9 & 10 years old , Little League, ages 10 - 12 year olds and Pony League, ages 13 - 15 . Information on the Van Wert Youth Baseball can be found at their website www.vwyb.com
The Van Wert Fast Pitch Softball Association offers girls ages 9 - high school the opportunity to develop their skills in fast pitch softball. The association sponsors teams in each of the three age groups: Registration Linksc Girl's Softball

VAN WERT YOUTH TEAM TENNIS
The Van Wert Youth Team Tennis program is for girls and boys entering grades 1st-5th. Whether or not your child has ever held a racquet, there's a spot on the team for them.
Every player will receive; Team Uniform, foam ball, age appropriate tennis racquet, 1 year USTA Junior Membership, subscription to Bounce or SMASH Magazine, Ace's Kids Club Package including an cooler bag, water bottle, sunglasses, activity book, and more!
Entering Grades 1-3: 5:30-6:30pm Entering Grades 4-5: 6:30-7:30pm
BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Parental participation is necessary to the success of the program. The Midwest Team Tennis program will provide training to those parents selected as volunteer coaches.
VAN WERT FUTURES TEAM TENNIS
The Van Wert Futures Team Tennis program is for girls and boys entering grades 6th-8th that are transitioning bbetween the Beginner and Intermediate skill levels. As the progression program form Midwest Youth Team Tennis, players continue to work on their technique, movement, tactics using the skill and age appropriate green dot tennis ball.
Every player will receive; Team Uniform, one can of green dot balls, age appropriate tennis racquet, 1 year USTA Junior Membership, subscription to Digital SMASH Magazine, Ace's Kids Club Package including an cooler bag, water bottle, sunglasses, activity book, and more!

Upward Soccer: The Parks Department is partnering with Trinity United Methodist to bring you Upward Soccer. Forms available at the Church, 220 S. Walnut St. or the Jubilee Park Office. Teams will be placed in their appropriate age category with teams formed for Pre-K through 12th Grade Boys/Girls. All participants must attend an evaluation to be placed on a team.
Never Golfed before? Would you like to learn? The Van Wert Parks Dept along with the Hickory Sticks Golf Course will be offering a week long golf Camp this summer. Learn the basics of the game; something new will be covered each day (see agenda below). If you are just a beginner this is a great opportunity to fine tune your skills. Two age categories are being offered: Ages 5-11 and 12-18.

The NFL Flag Football program is for youth ages 5-10. The Van Wert Parks and Recreation Department will be offering three age groups this fall; 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10. The 5-6 and 9-10 will play Tuesday evenings and the 7-8 will play Thursday evenings. All games will be played at Smiley Park. This program provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact continuous action while learning lessons in team work.
Registration begins July 9th. Must be registered by Aug 3rd. Games will begin the week of September 3rd .
Fee $35 (Each participant will receive a reversible NFL Flag Football Jersey, flag belt and special award at the end of the season.)
